Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your 2 Day Tanzania Safari from Arusha begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a short safari briefing from your professional guide, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, located approximately two hours southwest of Arusha.

Tarangire National Park is famous for its enormous elephant population, majestic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Covering approximately 2,850 square kilometres, the park offers a unique safari experience characterized by vast savannahs, seasonal swamps, acacia woodlands, and the life-giving Tarangire River.

Upon arrival at the park gate, your game drive begins immediately. Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 metres into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater.

Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth and one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. The crater floor covers approximately 260 square kilometres and supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife throughout the year.

Your morning game drive takes you across grasslands, wetlands, forests, and soda lakes where wildlife thrives within this natural enclosure. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the best places in Tanzania to see the Big Five, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the endangered black rhinoceros.

As you explore the crater floor, you may encounter large prides of lions resting in the grasslands, hippos cooling themselves in freshwater pools, spotted hyenas patrolling the plains, and thousands of grazing herbivores such as zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles.
