4-Day Big Five Safari Tanzania

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and travel to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. Famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant population, Tarangire offers outstanding game viewing throughout the year. Enjoy a full-day game drive through diverse habitats while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, and various antelope species. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife from across the park, creating excellent opportunities for memorable sightings. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, proceed to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Upon arrival, enjoy an exciting afternoon game drive while searching for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and large herds of wildebeests. Serengeti National Park is renowned for its incredible predator population and diverse wildlife. After a picnic lunch and game viewing, continue exploring the park before heading to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the wilderness.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Highlands

Begin the day with a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, offering another opportunity to witness its remarkable wildlife and spectacular scenery. Search for predators on the hunt, observe grazing herbivores across the plains, and enjoy excellent photography opportunities throughout the morning. After a picnic lunch, continue with a final game drive before departing the Serengeti and travelling towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. The journey provides beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and wildlife along the route. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the next day’s exploration of the famous Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Explore the crater floor while searching for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, black rhinos, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and hyenas.
