3-Day Classic Tanzania Northern Circuit Safari

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. Upon arrival, enjoy a full-day game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes, including open savannahs, seasonal swamps, and acacia woodlands. Tarangire is home to elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and many bird species. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park while surrounded by beautiful scenery. Continue exploring the park during the afternoon before driving to your lodge or tented camp for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful destination located beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is renowned for its diverse habitats, including forests, grasslands, and the alkaline lake that attracts thousands of birds. During your game drive, search for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, baboons, and the famous tree-climbing lions. Lake Manyara is also one of Tanzania’s best birdwatching destinations, with flamingos and many other species frequently seen along the shoreline. Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your wildlife adventure and returning to your lodge for dinner.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Following an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife and offers excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five. During your game drive, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and hippos. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor while surrounded by breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife. In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and return to Arusha, where your safari adventure comes to an end.
